Hosted by Chosen For The Arts, with the Tourism Leadership Council as our Presenting Partner, Old Town Trolley and WTOC as media partner, Holidays In Motion is more than a holiday program—it’s a moving celebration designed to honor and uplift the very families who keep Savannah’s tourism and hospitality industry strong all year long.

Building on the success of our Touring Toward Tomorrow back-to-school initiative, which placed support directly into the hands of over 1,000 families, Holidays In Motion carries that same spirit of giving into the holiday season. Instead of asking families to come to us, we bring the holiday experience to them—aboard a festively decorated trolley filled with Santa, his helpers, gifts, and plenty of cheer.

The program is designed with working families in mind—many of whom work nights, weekends, and holidays to make Savannah shine for visitors. These parents often don’t have the time or means to create the full holiday experience at home. Holidays In Motion bridges that gap, ensuring that their children still feel the magic of Christmas. Families can step right outside their doors to find a holiday party on wheels—complete with music, laughter, and gifts delivered straight to their community.

At its heart, Holidays In Motion is about recognizing the people behind Savannah’s thriving economy. By bringing joy to their children, we say “thank you” to the workforce that makes our city one of the most beloved destinations in the country.

This is not just a program—it’s a promise that the families who give so much of themselves to Savannah’s visitors will never be forgotten during the most meaningful season of the year.

 Touring Toward Tomorrow: A Huge Success Thanks to Our Community! 🎒

Chosen For The Arts is thrilled to share that our first Touring Toward Tomorrow Mobile Back-to-School Drive was an incredible success! 

Thanks to the support of our amazing sponsors – Old Town Trolley, Howmet Aerospace, Eichholz Law Firm, and the Tourism Leadership Council – we were able to hand-deliver nearly 1,000 bookbags filled with supplies to the hardworking families in Savannah’s tourism and hospitality industry.

From downtown Savannah to Garden City and Midtown, our team spent over a week on the road – first by car, and finally loading up the Old Town Trolley for a special delivery day. With over 28,000 people employed in Savannah’s tourism industry, this initiative made a real impact, ensuring that the children of our hospitality workers start the school year confident and prepared.

Registration for this drive is now closed, but don’t worry – we’ll be back soon with our  Christmas Drive! Stay tuned for details on how to register and get involved.

Chosen For The Arts is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for youth, young adults, and families through arts, education, and community engagement. This fall, we’ll be rolling out exciting new programming – including workshops, mentorship opportunities, and special events for young people to grow in leadership, creativity, and confidence.
